Palins Holiday Park is thrilled to announce a significant redevelopment project at the Magpie and Stump Pub in Towyn North Wales, a top destination for holidaymakers and locals alike. This well-loved venue is a firm favourite among both holidaymakers and the local community, known for its affordable drinks, delicious food, and lively atmosphere. Responding to increasing popularity, the pub is undergoing an exciting transformation, ensuring even more entertainment and enjoyment for its visitors.
The Vision Behind the Redevelopment at The Magpie and Stump
Louis, the park owner at Palins, explains the motivation behind the redevelopment of the Magpie and Stump. “The pub is so popular and busy that we felt we needed more space,” he shares. “At the moment, we just can’t accommodate all the guests who want to enjoy the pub’s atmosphere.”
To address this challenge, Palins is adding a brand-new cabaret bar extension to the back of the Magpie and Stump. This exciting addition includes a stage and a dance floor—essential features for enhancing the entertainment offered throughout the year.
“We already have entertainment regularly, but people love to dance, and currently, we don’t have a dance floor,” Louis explains. “With the new space, we’ll also have better seating arrangements so everyone can relax and enjoy themselves.”
What’s New with the Magpie and Stump?
The new cabaret bar and extension promise to elevate the Magpie and Stump experience with several significant improvements:
🔹A Dedicated Cabaret Bar: The spacious extension includes a purpose-built bar that expands the venue’s capacity.
🔹Stage and Dance Floor: The stage will host live performances, while the dance floor invites guests to make cherished memories.
🔹Enhanced Seating: More space means more room to accommodate families and groups comfortably.
🔹More Entertainment: Plans include evening shows, singing performances, kids’ dances, bingo nights, and even potential daytime events during weekends or quieter periods.
Louis is particularly excited about the expansion of entertainment options. “With the new space, we can offer much more—singers, kids’ dances, bingo, you name it. It’s all about giving our guests even more reasons to smile.”
New Dining Experiences
The redevelopment at Magpie and Stump also coincides with changes in the kitchen. Under brand-new management, the Magpie and Stump will introduce improved dining options and additional seating for food service.
“With our new kitchen team, we’re aiming to offer even better food and create more seating for guests to enjoy their meals,” Louis adds. “It’s all about delivering an even better experience at the pub.”
A Community-Focused Upgrade
This redevelopment is not just about creating extra space—it’s about bringing the community together. The Magpie and Stump has always been a hub for socialising, and the cabaret bar aims to enhance that sense of community. Timelines and Progress
The redevelopment team is working hard to have the project completed by the end of March, subject to weather conditions. “We have full faith in our team to deliver on time,” Louis comments.
To prepare for these exciting updates, the main venue Magpie and Stump will temporarily close at 5 PM on 16th February and reopen at 12 noon on 22nd February. During this time, we’ll be laying brand-new carpet, completing a deep clean, and refreshing the space with a fresh coat of paint.
