Palins Holiday Park Scraps Age Limit for Static Caravans
Exciting News for Caravan Owners and Buyers: No More Age Limit at Palins Holiday Park
Palins Holiday Park is thrilled to announce a major change to our ownership policy for static caravan owners and buyers: we have officially removed the 25-year age limit for caravans on our park, effective immediately.
We recognise the evolving quality and standards of modern holiday homes, and this new policy allows more families and individuals to enjoy the benefits of owning a static caravan at Palins Holiday Park. Whether you’re looking to buy a caravan holiday home or already own one, this is the perfect time to experience the freedom and community of caravan ownership with us.
What Has Changed?
🔹No More 25-Year Limit: Previously, static caravans could only remain on the park for up to 25 years. Now, there is no age limit for static caravans.
🔹Yearly Inspections After 25 Years: Once a static caravan reaches 25 years of age, owners can continue to keep their caravan on site by passing an annual inspection. The inspection costs £99 (including VAT) and covers key areas such as the floor, exterior, and undercarriage.
🔹Repairs and Standards: If any issues are identified during the inspection, owners will be notified and given a timeframe to carry out repairs. If a caravan is deemed beyond repair or not up to park standards, owners will receive a six-month notice to upgrade or remove the unit.
What This Means for Current Owners
🔹Keep Your Caravan for Longer: You no longer need to worry about an arbitrary age limit forcing you to upgrade or remove your static caravan. As long as your unit is well-maintained and passes the annual inspection, it can stay on the park.
🔹Flexibility and Peace of Mind: This new policy offers greater flexibility and ensures that you can continue enjoying your holiday home for as long as you wish, provided it remains in good condition.
What This Means for New Owners and Buyers
🔹Expanded Choice: Prospective buyers can now consider a wider range of caravans, including those over 15 years old, which can now be sold and purchased on site as there is now no age limit for static caravans.
🔹Long-Term Value: Your investment in a holiday home at Palins is now more secure, with the potential for many more years of enjoyment without the pressure of a fixed age limit.
Why the Change?
Caravans from the 1990s and early 2000s are quite different from today’s modern static caravan holiday homes. Over the past two decades, modern caravan holiday homes have been built to higher standards, with many still in excellent condition.
At our park, we believe that the quality and upkeep of your static caravan are far more important than its age. That’s why we’ve introduced an inspection-based system to maintain a safe and attractive environment for everyone.
This approach also gives caravan owners more flexibility and peace of mind. Whether you own a new or older static caravan, our priority is ensuring a safe, well-maintained space for all.
